Meet the Team behind our AW16 Shoot

Stylist – Rachel Fanconi

  1. You are a great supporter of Damsel in a dress, what is it you like about the brand?

I love Damsel – there’s always GREAT dresses, on trend “solution” pieces that work on real bodies. Also there’s always a sleeve or the option of a cover up that feels like part of the look.

       2.   What was your inspiration for styling the shoot today?

We wanted to achieve a clean modern look for our daywear pieces and pared back contemporary opulence for the red carpet section.

       3.    Which pieces from the new collection are your favourite?

I love the black jumpsuit (also comes in a moody blue/grey shade) its so versatile and surprisingly flattering as it’s got proper waist definition – a really good alternative to a dress to show off your figure.

Make-up Artist – Liz Kitchener

  1. What has been the main make up look for the shoot today?

We have gone for a natural nude base combined with luminating skin. On the cheeks a defined blusher, soft taupey tones on the eyes without being too strong and nude glossy lips.

       2.   What would you say are essentials for any ladies’ make-up bag?

Really good concealer – a pen version is ideal for under the eye or for covering up any blemishes. Mascara of course and a good lippy if you like wearing lipstick. Cream blusher is always great for uplifting the cheeks and adding instant colour and giving your face a bit of a ping. As an alternative to foundation use tinted moisturer – you can even make your own by adding a touch of foundation to your moisturer, don’t be afraid to mix up products and brands. Stay clear of powders. Mainly don’t overload your make-up bag.

      3.   What have been your favourite pieces from the shoot today?

Black jumpsuit and the silver shimmer long dress.

Model - Aniko Michnyaova

The Nomadic Gardens in Shoreditch, Richmond Park and Westway – a Sports Centre when you can play tennis and do wall climbing.

       3.  What outfit have you most liked modelling today?

The suiting – it is the kind of outfit I would wear.
